Giordano’s is located in a former retail space at 16th & California in the heart of the Central Business District in Downtown Denver. This renovation required all new supporting MEP systems (i.e. makeup air units, kitchen exhaust system, gas service, etc.) to be added to the space. It is also located on the first floor of a 3-story building with a Target store above the space and other tenants within the building. This project required Centerre to work not only inside the restaurant but also in a common corridor, a decommissioned elevator core, adjacent tenant spaces, the roof, and outside the front and back of the building on the 16th Street Mall, which required extensive coordination with the landlord, RTD, and adjacent tenants. The renovation also included new restrooms, new kitchen equipment, installation of decorative metals throughout, installation of fire alarms and fire sprinklers, new electrical service and custom millwork bars and booths. Additionally, three exterior overhead doors were installed with new structural steel and metal cladding facing the 16th Street Mall and is also adjacent to the lightrail track that required extensive coordination with RTD.
