Denver Federal Center
Grid Tied Roof Mounted PV System
OVERVIEW
Centerre was selected as the general contractor for the design and construction of the Roof Mounted PV System at the Denver Federal Center. The project included the design and installation of over 14,612 solar panels on three occupied buildings. At completion, this project was the largest roof-mounted solar array in Colorado, producing 4,349,398 kWh per year.
Centerre provided a total “turn-key” project including design, manufacturing, and installation services for the installation of a rooftop mounted utility-interactive photovoltaic system with the following minimum sizes: 300kW DC for Building 20 and 300kW DC for Building 56, with all remainder placed on Building 810. The combined overall capacity of all three roofs produced over 4,349,398 kWh per year, approximately 3.2 megawatts DC. Buildings 20 and 56 required Centerre to remove the existing roof system and replace it with a new 200,000 SF R-50 white TOP Cool Roof.
